Project Life Scrapbooking can be a quick and easy way to preserve your family memories. At the most basic level, all you need are pocket page protectors, journaling cards, and a pen. However, most people enjoy adding extra embellishments to their pages. Here are my top picks for tools that you might want to consider when putting together a pocket style scrapbook.
3″x4″ Journal Card Die
If you don’t have access to an Archiver’s store, Crafter’s Workshop has several designs that you can buy on Amazon, including some cute ones that look like notebook paper. (Just be sure that any dies you buy will fit into the Project Life page protectors as they are slightly smaller than 3 inches. When in doubt, ask!)
Arrow Paper Punch
Arrow punchies are great for drawing attention to a particular photo in your layout. I have the Tonic Arrow paper punch and love it. It punches easily and cleanly each and every time. The arrow shapes are approximately 1/2 inch by 1 inch in size. I tend to use a lot of these arrows on my journal cards to point to the picture that goes with the story.
If you are looking for larger arrows to use on your pages, Lifestyle Crafts makes a fun 4×4 arrow die that contains several different styles of arrows that would be fine to use on your pages.
Mini Alphabet Rubber Stamp Set
I recently picked up a cute mini alphabet stamp set and have been using it for Project Life Scrapbooking constantly. It is so much fun to use to highlight certain words in your journaling. Most of my journal cards are handwritten, but I usually use the stamps for a couple of the words on each card.
You can get mini alphabet stamp sets in all sorts of fonts, so you can find one that is just perfect to fit the theme of your album.
Xyron Create a Sticker Machine
One of my most used scrapbooking tools is my Xyron Create a Sticker Machine.
I hate using messy glue pens, especially for tiny pieces. So I just run my little embellishments through my Xyron and make them into stickers. Quick, easy, and mess-free!
It may not be the most glamorous of tools, but my corner rounder has been an essential scrapbooking tool for me since starting Project Life. I use it for rounding corners on both my journaling cards and my photos so everything looks uniform.
I’ve had my Creative Memories corner rounder forever and love it. However, I have also heard great things about the We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper.
So tell me… What are your favorite tools to use with Project Life Scrapbooking?
